Tabitha Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Culinary Assistant / Server to work 4:30p - 9p. This schedule includes a weekend and holiday rotation. The Culinary Assistant is responsible for assisting in food preparation, upholding cleaning and sanitary standards, and managing kitchen inventory and supplies. Essential Functions Prepares food to order in the dining room as requested by Senior/client. Assists with serving meals to residents following diet orders and requests while providing outstanding customer service during guest interactions. Assists cook in preparing food items for meal service in large quantities. Follows recipes according to appropriate safe food handling procedures, using food service equipment. Ensures accurate and timely documentation related to food production, quality, and food safety. Ensures food and products are properly acquired, stored, dated and rotated. Responsible for operating dish machine to ensure dishes and silverware are cleaned and sanitized, dried and put away in a timely manner. Handle trash and sweep and mop kitchen floor. Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen, storeroom, cold storage areas, hallways, and dock areas, completing cleaning checklists, as directed. Assists with unloading, receiving, and stocking food/supply delivers from the food delivery trucks when needed. Performs work duties within the assigned work environment related to the position, as assigned by Tabitha, regardless of TEAMember preference. Performs tasks according to established time measures and standards.
