Requirements

  • The ability to work holiday and weekend shift schedules

  • Physical and Sensory Requirements This job involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and a kitchen environment with fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise. Employees must have the physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift trays, and perform repetitive tasks. Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, extreme temperatures, and vibration may occur. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and deliver patient meal trays according to dietary requirements and safety protocols
  • Accurately follow meal tickets and special diet orders
  • Assist patients with meal setup as needed (no feeding)
  • Collect used trays and return them to the kitchen for cleaning
  • Maintain cleanliness of food carts, work areas, and equipment
  • Follow hospital infection control and food safety guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with dietary staff, nurses, and other team members
  • Other duties as assigned
