We are seeking a Culinary 3rd Shift Receiver (Overnight) who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while bringing families closer together and caring deeply about our brand. The right Culinary 3rd Shift Receiver (Overnight) will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator. The Culinary 3rd Shift Receiver (Overnight) is responsible for receiving, handling, and storing all food and beverage items in accordance with proper food handling practices. These responsibilities will be carried out in a manner consistent with the mission, values and operating philosophies and standards of the Dollywood Company. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • May require operating knowledge of manufacturing or computer equipment, or may require broad knowledge in clerical or service areas
  • Must be able to train to operate a pallet jack
  • Must be able to train to operate a forklift
  • Must be able to obtain ServSafe Manager Certification
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
  • Must successfully complete a post-employment offer background check including motor vehicle and drug screen.
  • Able to make a friendly impression when speaking to or corresponding with guests, vendors, and other employees
  • Must reflect Dollywood’s image by being genuinely friendly and caring and by taking pride in work
  • Must be self-motivated and disciplined
  • Must be able to prioritize and complete work assignments on a timely basis
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged information

  • Able to tolerate temperatures of -15 to 100 degrees
  • Able to tolerate working on different weather elements; rain, heat, snow etc.
  • Able to work outdoors
  • Able to lift 30 lbs with or without a 2-person lift. 30+ lbs require a 2-person lift
  • Must be able and available to work 3 rd and 1 st shifts
  • Must comply with all Health Department, ServSafe, and Company regulations pertaining to safe food handling practices

Responsibilities

  • Receives daily food orders, check orders for accuracy, and store inventory according to shop specifications
  • Maintains cleanliness in food storage areas by keeping the area free of slip and fall hazards as well as tripping hazards
  • Practices FIFO methods daily including dating and physically rotating products
  • Receives departmental supplies and distribute them to proper storage areas
  • Monitors receiving and accept or reject according to Dollywood Company and safe food handling practices
  • Inspects cooler and freezer temperatures, reporting any issues to Maintenance and moving product as necessary
  • Monitors and reports loss prevention
  • Assists in spot checking of weekly inventories as necessary
  • Partners with The Dollywood Company Warehouse team and be the liaison for deliveries to and from the warehouse
  • Fosters relationships with Dollywood Company Leadership, Chefs and outside vendors
  • Responsible for completing credit card transactions in compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards
  • Management reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any time
