About The Position

The Cub Program Manager owns the full experience of Crown's early childhood sports programming. This includes: Program development Enrollment growth Coach training Parent communication Staff accountability Operational excellence You are responsible for ensuring that every Cub session feels: Organized Energetic Age-appropriate Safe Professional Fun This role requires leadership, energy, emotional intelligence, and operational discipline. May be required to aid in coaching other sports and programs as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading youth programming (preferably ages 2–6)
  • Experience supervising and developing staff
  • Experience building or growing programs
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Comfortable using scheduling and management software
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends
  • CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Must be comfortable working on the field/floor for extended periods
  • Indoor sports environment with intermittent noise

Responsibilities

  • Program Excellence
  • Design and execute structured curriculum for ages 2–5 across all Cub sports
  • Ensure every session runs on time, organized, and professionally
  • Continuously improve drills, rotations, and engagement strategies
  • Maintain high safety and risk management standards
  • Enrollment & Growth
  • Track and report enrollment numbers and retention metrics
  • Collaborate with marketing to drive new registrations
  • Build relationships with local preschools and daycares
  • Identify opportunities to expand offerings and seasons
  • Staff Leadership
  • Recruit, train, and develop Cub coaches
  • Hold staff accountable to Crown standards
  • Run regular staff development meetings
  • Provide direct performance feedback
  • Model high energy and professionalism on the floor
  • Parent Experience
  • Serve as primary point of contact for Cub families
  • Communicate clearly and proactively
  • Address concerns quickly and professionally
  • Build trust and long-term loyalty with families
  • Operations
  • Manage equipment inventory and setup standards
  • Coordinate scheduling and staffing
