About The Position

CU Project Engineer Production Engineering Fort Wayne, Indiana Remote Main Duties and Responsibilities Steer the production projects including project set-up, project controlling, and project management. Develop standards including continuous improvement (Cl), Central Forms (CF), new processes, methods, systems, etc. in cooperation with other Corporate Units (CU), business units (BU) and plants. Provide training on standards (online, on site) and explaining new standards. Participate in CU projects. Control key performance indicators (KPI) and define measures in coordination with the plants. Implement CU standards at the plants including systemic implementation, training, handover to the plant, and support. Check the long-term viability and the application of standards. Develop and optimize standards to improve and analyze the Labor Efficiency (LE). Draw up internal and external requirements specifications, primarily for SAP ERP/MES systems. Support the plants, drawing up suitable actions plans. Develop tailored solutions and implement them. Develop training concepts and hold training sessions for Production Engineering (PE) employees. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Industrial Engineering or Logistics Management or closely related field
  • A three-year bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or Logistics Management or closely related field accepted.
  • 3 Years of experience as Production Manager
  • The 3 years of experience must be experience as a Production Engineer in the Automotive manufacturing industry using IATF 16949 Automotive Quality Management System, auditing price pre- and post-calculations for production engineering, support and training of global production engineering processes, improving quality of master data in SAP system, capacity planning and machine allocation for automotive manufacturing plants.
  • 20% domestic and international travel required to ElringKlinger manufacturing plants in the US, Mexico, and Canada.
  • May telecommute from within the continental United States.
