The Rosenbloom Owings Mills JCC Children’s Theatre Production Company (CTPC) is seeking music directors for the upcoming summer 2026 CTPC Jr season: Shrek Jr. (June 22-July 17) and Mary Poppins Jr. (July 20-August 14) both for grades 3-8. Each camp day will include musical theatre preparatory classes, auditions, rehearsals, and the final product of a full production. CTPC also incorporates swimming and field trips. The music director will work alongside the show director, production assistants, and counselors to run rehearsals, review material, work backstage for the production, and any other duties assigned to them in relation to the show. The music director must maintain CTPC’s high standards with the production’s music as well as interactions with other creative staff members and appointed counselors. The ideal candidate is an arts education professional who is prepared and eager to be a role model within their field, for the Center of Arts & Culture, and the JCC as a whole. The music director will be supervised by and work closely with the director of youth arts education. Experience and a love for teaching children of all ages, as well as extensive experience in their art form, is imperative. Submissions with musical directing, performance, and/or teaching reels is highly preferred. The JCC and the CTPC celebrate both being proudly Jewish and being an inclusive space for all.
