The Payroll Cross-Functional Team Member (CTM) for Nutrition Services is responsible for overseeing and executing all payroll operations for a department of approximately 2,000 employees. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, manages payroll staff performance, and maintains compliance with district policies and payroll regulations. The CTM serves as the primary liaison between the Nutrition Services department and the main HISD Payroll office, ensuring seamless coordination and communication. Key responsibilities include auditing payroll data entries, processing employee bonuses, managing timecard records, and maintaining the department’s timekeeping system (TCP). Also, the role oversees the preparation and distribution of payroll, attendance, and overtime reports using SAP, Time Clock Plus, Oracle, and other systems. Additionally, the role involves training Food Service staff on payroll procedures, recommending policy improvements, and managing employee benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations. This position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels to ensure clarity in payroll matters, including paycheck accuracy, time tracking, and leave management.
