About The Position
The Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Gregory Mott, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of: CTE TEACHER - INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY POUGHKEEPSIE HIGH SCHOOL QUALIFICATIONS: CTE Information Technology 7-12 Certification; OR Transitional A Certification for Information Technology; Background in technology, business, finance, or math. DUTIES: The Poughkeepsie City School District (PCSD) is committed to providing students and parents with pathways to opportunity that will lead to achievement and success. This position reports to the building principal and the Executive Director of Students with Exceptionalities, and the Director of College Readiness and Workforce Education. The position will address fulfilling part of the requirements for students earning high school credit in the CDOS pathway. The emphasis will be providing instructions to students with disabilities in the high school. The teacher is expected to develop in each student an understanding of the technology industry and its place in the nation’s economy. The teacher will plan and deliver lessons with the materials provided, grade assignments and complete additional required duties assigned by principals. This position requires a high degree of enthusiasm, organization, and creativity.
Requirements
- CTE Information Technology 7-12 Certification; OR Transitional A Certification for Information Technology
- Background in technology, business, finance, or math
