About The Position
We are seeking passionate and dynamic Career and Technical Education (CTE) Engineering teachers to be considered for our applicant pool. Qualified candidates will bring relevant industry experience in engineering, design, manufacturing, or a related field , along with a strong commitment to engaging students through real-world, hands-on learning. As opportunities become available, selected candidates may be contacted for positions where they will inspire students to explore careers in engineering and related industries while developing essential technical, problem-solving, and professional skills. Requirements
- Possession of a valid California Career Technical Education (CTE) Credential in Engineering and Architecture
- Applicants who hold a valid California Single Subject Credential in Industrial and Technology Education are also encouraged to apply
- OR QUALIFY FOR A CTE CREDENTIAL THROUGH EXPERIENCE/COURSEWORK:
- 3 years of industry experience (paid or unpaid) — at least 1 year must be hands-on
- Some of that experience must be recent (1 year in the last 5 years, or 2 years in the last 10 years)
- Up to 2 years of the requirement can be met through relevant coursework (24 semester units = 1 year)
- Advanced industry certification can count for 1 year
- AND High School Diploma or equivalent.
