About The Position
We are seeking passionate and dynamic Career and Technical Education (CTE) Culinary Arts teachers to be considered for our applicant pool. Qualified candidates will bring hands-on industry experience in culinary arts, hospitality, or a related field , along with a strong commitment to engaging students through real-world, practical learning. As opportunities become available, selected candidates may be contacted for positions where they will inspire students to explore careers in the culinary and hospitality industries while developing essential technical and professional skills. Requirements
- Possession of a valid California CTE credential in Hospitality, Tourism, and Recreation OR QUALIFY FOR A CTE CREDENTIAL THROUGH EXPERIENCE/COURSEWORK:
- 3 years of industry experience (paid or unpaid) — at least 1 year must be hands-on
- Some of that experience must be recent (1 year in the last 5 years, or 2 years in the last 10 years)
- Up to 2 years of the requirement can be met through relevant coursework (24 semester units = 1 year)
- Advanced industry certification can count for 1 year
- AND High School Diploma or equivalent.
