CT/X-Ray Technician & Medical Assistant - Full-time and PRN Opportunities

About The Position

Key Responsibilities: CT/X-Ray Technician Duties:  Perform Diagnostic Imaging: Operate CT and X-ray equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with prescribed guidelines. Ensure high-quality images for accurate diagnosis by physicians.  Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, ensuring their comfort, and answering any questions. Properly position patients for imaging while ensuring their safety and adherence to protocols.  Maintain Equipment: Regularly inspect and maintain CT and X-ray equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and safely. Perform routine calibration and troubleshooting, reporting any issues to the appropriate staff.  Radiation Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients, self, and staff. Ensure the use of protective measures (e.g., lead aprons) as needed. Maintain accurate records of radiation doses.  Imaging Documentation: Accurately document imaging procedures, including patient information, procedures performed, and any special considerations. Ensure timely and proper submission of images for physician review. Medical Assistant Duties:  Patient Intake & Triage: Greet and check in patients, gathering essential medical history, including chief complaint, allergies, medications, and vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, heart rate, temperature). Assist with patient intake and direct them to the appropriate care area.  Assist with Clinical Procedures: Provide assistance to physicians during patient examinations and procedures (e.g., minor surgeries, wound care, injections). Perform routine medical tasks such as taking vitals, administering vaccines, assisting with minor surgeries, and preparing treatment rooms.  Laboratory & Medication Support: Assist with laboratory testing (e.g., blood draws, urinalysis, rapid tests) and prepare specimens for analysis. Administer prescribed medications and injections as directed by physicians, ensuring proper documentation.  Patient Education: Provide patients with education regarding their condition, treatment plan, and post-visit care instructions. Answer questions and provide support as needed for follow-up care.  Medical Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring that all patient interactions, treatments, and notes are documented appropriately. Assist with charting and updating patient information as directed.  Medical Equipment Management: Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of medical equipment and instruments. Maintain stock of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate inventory for clinic needs.  General Clinic Support: Provide general support to the clinic’s operations, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, filing, and managing patient flow. Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth day-to-day clinic activities. Qualifications:  Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a formal radiologic technology program and certification (ARRT or equivalent) required. Medical Assistant certification or training is a plus.  Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in diagnostic imaging (CT and X-Ray) with proven expertise in operating imaging equipment. Experience working as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical role is highly desirable.  Licenses/Certifications: Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). CPR and BLS certification required. Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required.  Skills: Strong understanding of CT and X-ray imaging techniques, radiation safety, and anatomy. Proficient in operating medical equipment, maintaining patient comfort, and following safety protocols. Basic medical knowledge for assisting with clinical tasks, such as administering injections, drawing blood, and preparing specimens.  Physical Demands: Ability to lift and position patients, stand for long periods, and perform other physically demanding tasks.
