CT Technologist (Full-Time, Night Shift)
About The Position
Located in a tight-knit community in Kings County, Adventist Health Hanford has been serving the Central Valley since 1965. We are comprised of a 173-bed hospital and many outpatient clinics with primary and specialty care services. Hanford residents are proud of their city's historic charm and family-friendly atmosphere. Within an hour's travel time, Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks can be enjoyed. The CT Technologist operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions. This role also performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.
Requirements
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT)
- Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA
- Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required in CA, if employee operates fluoroscopy equipment
- AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS certification
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology
- Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Preferred in CA
- Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR
Responsibilities
- Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
- Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
- Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.
- Maintains accurate records, files and billing information. Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
- Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
