About The Position

Under general supervision, the CT Technologist 2 is responsible for conducting three-dimensional (3-D) post-processing, triaging patients and exams, and performing Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) Computed Tomography Angiography (CTA) for adult patients. This position also performs more technical exams and provides support and guidance to lower-level classifications. The role involves working with clinical students as needed, adhering to HIPAA and corporate compliance guidelines, and is capable of performing the duties of lower-level classifications. This is a journey-level classification within the CT Technologist series and is a full-time, temporary position on the day shift.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Educational Program
  • Two (2) years of experience in Computed Tomography (CT)
  • Knowledge of CT Radiology procedures
  • Knowledge of CT Scanners
  • Knowledge of post-processing
  • Knowledge of TAVR CTA for adult patients
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and universal precautions
  • Knowledge of general office software and equipment
  • Skill to apply knowledge of different CT Scanner models and radiology procedures to produce advanced CT scans of Cardiac areas
  • Skill to produce CTA and CT scans related to stroke and trauma
  • Skill to answer advanced questions about the use and operation of equipment
  • Skill to produce Cardiac, Coronary, and TAVR CTA for adult patients
  • Skill in producing 3-D post-processing of areas such as the aorta, carotids, and head
  • Skill to ensure all procedures adhere to radiation safety and universal protections
  • Ability to effectively use CT scanners from different vendors
  • Ability to produce high-quality images
  • Ability to troubleshoot CT scanners
  • Ability to conduct the most advanced CT examinations
  • Ability to read
  • Ability to write legibly
  • Ability to speak in English with professional quality
  • Ability to use computer and software programs necessary to the position
  • Ability to troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment
