This position will be on call from 6:00pm Friday unit 6:00am Monday for a flat rate per weekend. MUST be within a 20 minute response time to the facility. The Radiology Technologist will provide expert diagnostic radiological imaging and patient care to assure a high level of quality care and service to patients, physicians and customers in and outside the medical imaging department.
Requirements
- Graduate of an ARRT approved Radiologic Technology program
- Currently registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Licensed by the state of Iowa as a General Radiology Technologist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred
- One year experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Must be able to perform both general x-ray and CT
- Produces accurate, well-defined images.
- Assures that all required consent forms are signed prior to examinations.
- Practices radiation safety for self and patients’ safety.
- Processes images and prepare them for reading by the radiologist.
