About The Position

This is a Community Service Work Study student employment position. Applicants must have Federal Work Study funds in their Financial Aid package. The student will work 10 hours per week supporting Good Neighbor Center's development, communications, and shelter programs. Duties may include assisting with donor communications, outreach projects, and support in the shelter. The position is supervised primarily by the Development Manager, with additional supervision from the Shelter Supervisor as needed. Location: GNC Admin Building

Requirements

  • Must have Federal Work Study fund in Financial Aid Package (contact [email protected] with questions)
  • Ability to work 10 hours per week on a consistent schedule
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in nonprofit management, social services, communications, or related fields
  • Previous experience with customer service, volunteer work, or administrative support

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the development and communications projects such as donor thank-you letters, social media content, and event outreach.
  • Assisting with the fundraising activities and community engagement
  • Helping with shelter operations to better understand how programs serve families.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.
