About The Position

This dynamic and strategically significant role will serve as a key driver of Hartford HealthCare’s mission in the Fairfield Region, blending community impact with expanding access. The Community Engagement & Business Development Manager will dedicate half their time to activating the HHC brand and building strong community partnerships, and the other half to advancing access to care by strengthening relationships across the healthcare landscape. This dual-focus position requires a collaborative, forward-thinking leader who thrives in both external-facing and operational environments, and who is passionate about improving health outcomes through innovation, connection, and strategic alignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience with an electronic health record required
  • 5-7 years of experience in program coordination or management
  • Leadership experience with a non-profit or community-based organization

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and oversight of community engagement and brand activation using a community-focused approach, inspired and guided by HHC’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Establish strong, long-term community partnerships, engaging in participatory and trust-building activities with individuals and community groups, incorporating diverse perspectives, and ensuring meaningful brand marketing activation initiatives throughout designated market service area (MSA).
  • Partner closely with key teams to develop, coordinate, and implement initiatives for key strategic priorities throughout the MSA.
  • Work side-by-side with the Fairfield Region Strategy Director in driving care coordination and access to the system.
  • Responsible for establishing and deepening relationships with practices (employed, ICP and non-employed), employers and retail health locations across the entire State by understanding their business objectives, providing exemplary support and working as their gateway contact with the system.
  • Key member of the business development team and responsible for supporting the prioritization of key initiatives in the specific business units.
