Vaxcom Services LLC (a Parsons company) is looking for a talented Cryptographic/COMSEC Engineer to join our team. In this role you will support the critical functions of securing classified and unclassified voice, data, and radio networks. You will perform a variety of duties utilizing subject matter expertise and advanced knowledge in order to perform highly technical and specialized functions in order to provide Cryptographic solutions as a part of the Sponsor's overall cybersecurity strategy. You will work in accordance with Organization policies, regulatory requirements, and other National Security Mandates governing all aspects of communications security.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or IT-related field and 10 years experience, or 15 years relevant experience as a COMSEC Engineer, Cryptographic SME, or Network Engineer/SME.
  • Five (5) years of direct Cryptographic network experience.
  • Five (5) years of direct experience working on IC or DoD cryptographic networks, IT systems, and technologies.
  • Experience with network TCP/IP systems.
  • Working knowledge of Cisco IOS with an emphasis on routing and switching.
  • Ability to qualify for overseas travel through a medical screening program.
  • Previous experience providing briefings to large and small audiences with varying levels of expertise and technical acumen.
  • An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Degree in STEM or IT-related field related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience with the Program Office’s Cryptographic network.
  • Active participant on various IC and DoD Cryptographic technology working groups.
  • Knowledge of the IC and DoD Cloud cryptographic integration.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and tools required for testing and troubleshooting Cryptographic technology.
  • Previous experience as a technical project manager.

Responsibilities

  • Work independently in an extremely fast paced environment in support of a high priority, evolving, and expanding Program.
  • Be a strong team player with exceptional customer service and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Be able to gather requirements, communicate solutions, and remain actively engaged with the Program Office throughout the life of the Project and associated tasks.
  • Will travel within the domestic United States to mission partner sites and conferences/seminars regularly as needed. In addition, occasional overseas travel may be required based on mission needs.
  • May represent the Program Office in interagency working groups and provide executive level briefings as necessary.
  • Will respond to ad hoc needs and take lead for developing necessary response strategies.
  • Will demonstrate advanced knowledge and understanding of COMSEC processes and procedures, cybersecurity issues and concerns, network architecture and engineering, and Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Previous experience as a cryptographic custodian, utilizing CARDS and/or iApp databases is desired.
