About The Position

Crusher Ground Technician Job Description Black Rock Services is a producer of construction materials such as crushed stone, aggregates, and hot mix asphalt. Crusher Ground Technician is required to help maintain the plant facility of the aggregate crushing operation. This position requires safety minded individuals with strong drive and enthusiasm to advance our organization forward by performing various general production, operational, hands-on duties on a frequent basis. These general tasks include visual inspection of mechanical operations, daily recording and reporting of inspection findings, facility maintenance and organization, gathering and delivering supplies and materials, and assisting in maintaining optimal facility uptime. With supervision, this position performs a variety of tasks involved with the production of aggregate crushing while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. You must be able to multi-task as well as take appropriate action with little supervision. Performs job in a safe manner. Safety is the #1 priority. Perform a variety of tasks that assist with the operation of the plant, including inspecting, repairing, cleaning, and shoveling materials. Assist coworkers with performing minor repairs on equipment, including using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and cutting equipment. Ensure a clean facility by collecting used hardware, parts, pieces, and trash and disposing of them correctly. Operate a skid steer, and telehandler forklift. Active listener with excellent communication skills. Continually walk the plant looking for any potential problems, safety concerns or issues, and report to Crushing Supervisor. Inspect plant per inspection documents and grease plant accordingly. Report any issues to Crushing Supervisor Utilize equipment to clean small material piles accordingly. Shovel off platforms and working decks if material piles up. Other duties as assigned Assist plant operator with production start-up and shutdown commands. Be a team player with the ability to learn and grow. Be reliable.

Requirements

  • Ability to self-manage, show initiative and be proactive
  • Willingness to be flexible with work schedule times
  • Detail oriented and not afraid to ask questions
  • Work authorization in the United States ( Required )
  • Valid driver’s license ( Required )
  • Stand for majority of shift (85%)
  • Able to work in a noisy, outdoor environment
  • Tolerate heat and cold while working outdoors
  • Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous tasks as assigned
  • Must be able to problem solve and prioritize tasks
  • Must be able to manage stress depending on tasks
  • Must be able to multitask
  • Must be able to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur
