About The Position

The Cross-Functional Team Member is responsible for the financial oversight, management, and compliance of grant and donated funds. This role ensure accurate budgeting, proper use of funds, and timely closeout of grants in alignment with district, state, and federal requirements. This position works closely with school leadershihp, program managers, and district finance teams to support fiscally responsible planning and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (depending on the specific requirements of the cross-functional team)
  • 3 Years Experience working in cross-functional teams or projects.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse functional backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling clear and concise information sharing.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a logical and analytical mindset to address complex challenges.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced and changing work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within deadlines.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools used by the cross-functional team.
  • Continuous learning mindset, with a willingness to expand knowledge and skills in other functional areas.

Responsibilities

  • Review, interpret, and process Notices of Grant Awards(NOGAs) to ensure funding requirements and timelines are understood and followed.
  • Load grant and donation budgets into the financial system accurately and in compliance with funding guidelines.
  • Create and manage grant funded positions, including salary projections and funding allocations.
  • Monitor grant expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets and allowable costs.
  • Balance grant and donation budgets regarly, identifying descrapancies and resolving issues promptly.
  • Provide ongoing financial guidance to campus and department staff regarding grant and donation usage.
  • Prepare and process budget amendments as needed throughout the grant lifecycle.
  • Provide effective leadership and guidance to the cross-functional team, including goal setting, performance evaluations, coaching and professional development.
  • Ensure timely and accurate closeout of grants at the end of the grant lifecycle, including reconciliation and required financial reporting.
  • Maintain detailed documentation to support audits and compliance reviews.
  • Monitor project budgets and expenses, ensuring effective utilization of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Leverage project management tools and methodologies to streamline processes, improve efficiency and drive continuous improvement within the team.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies relevant to the projects and functional areas within the team.
  • Promote a positive team culture that values diversity, collaboration, innovation and accountability.
