Day in the life You start your shift in Assembly, checking work instructions and quality standards before building and wiring subassemblies. Mid-morning, a production priority changes—so you pivot to Shipping & Receiving to stage pallets, move materials with a forklift or pallet jack (training provided if needed), and keep the flow moving. Later, you jump into Fabrication to cut, drill, grind, or run basic machine operations. You wrap up by completing preventative maintenance tasks, organizing your area to 5S, and handing off cleanly to the next team. What you will do Flex across Assembly, Shipping & Receiving, and Fabrication based on staffing and schedule priorities. Build mechanical and/or electrical components and finished products per work instructions and quality expectations. Use hand tools, power tools, and measurement devices accurately and safely. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment (training provided if needed). Support basic fabrication: cutting, drilling, grinding, and machine operation. Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, 5S practices, and company policies. Communicate clearly with supervisors and peers to ensure smooth department handoffs. Participate in cross-training and continuous improvement efforts. Follow documented processes and OMS instructions; adhere to cycle-counting procedures. Perform preventative maintenance on machines and equipment as required.
