About The Position
Somnia Anesthesia is seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our collaborative team at St. Joseph’s Medical Center. This position offers full clinical autonomy in an Independent Practice Model, covering First Call (In-House 24 Hour) shifts every other weekend. Practice Environment Facility: St. Joseph’s Medical Center (Stockton, CA) – A 355-bed regional hospital and Level III Trauma Center. Schedule: Every Other Weekend (Saturday or Sunday). Shift Type: 24-Hour In-House First Call. Practice Model: Full Independent Practice. No medical direction. Scope: Full scope of practice including regional anesthesia, arterial lines, central lines, and high-acuity cases. Team: Work alongside 14n physicians, 30+ independent-practice CRNAs, and 24 resident physicians. Case Mix: ~14,300 annual cases including General, Trauma, Cardiac (~800/yr), OB (3,000 births/yr), and Interventional Radiology. Academic: Work in a supportive teaching environment alongside the Anesthesia Residency program.
Requirements
- Active California RN and CRNA License.
- NBCRNA Certification.
- ACLS | BLS | PALS.
- Ability to practice independently in a high-acuity setting (Trauma/OB experience preferred).
