Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Criticality Safety Engineer to work in our Criticality Safety Department. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our Idaho Falls, Idaho facility with every other Friday off. Apply nuclear physics, ANSI/ANS-8 series industry standards, unique computer codes, and state-of-the-art neutron cross section data to derive administrative and engineered controls for the prevention of an inadvertent nuclear chain reaction. Interface with facility operations staff to develop criticality safety controls specific to the facility and operation. Determines safe parameters for safe handling, processing, and storage for the various forms of fissionable materials. This position is part of the INL Nuclear Nexus.
