We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business. 27.00 per hour Job Summary The Critical Support Technician role acts in a “floater” capacity, supporting multiple labs and locations as assigned by the Account Director(s). The position is designed to provide critical support across multiple client locations as directed by current business need. The Critical Support Technician will be assigned over multiple sites (IE – To cover open positions, employee time off, vacation coverages, and emergency coverages) and as such, working hours and schedules may be changed and/or augmented as needed. Job Description Essential Functions Have strong communication skills internal and external via text, email, telephone, and face to face. Respond to daily Client/Tenant requests and internal company requests in a timely, professional manner. Keep areas around buildings clean (laboratory space, property grounds, halls, loading docks, etc.). Receive/ship packages and reconcile packing slips- understanding temperature sensitivity. Basic abilities in carpentry and installation: mounting a shelf, installing a picture or whiteboards, and simple repairs. Basic tool safety. Monitoring of pressure gas/nitrogen, ability to change cylinders/tanks safely and efficiently. Trained for safe hazardous waste handling of bio bins/bio-waste disposal. Trained for cleaning and maintaining decon equipment. Maintain basic paperwork according to client/tenant needs. Basic knowledge of building & lab management systems. Other duties as assigned. Safety showers, autoclave, eye wash, and fire extinguishers. Basic inventory. Awareness of different lab environments and safety levels (i.e.: ACF GMP Clean Rooms). Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma.
  • Six months prior work experience in a related work environment, illustrating good attendance, professional behavior, reliability.
  • Ability to follow orders given orally and in writing.
  • Ability to complete tasks and paperwork with basic supervision.
  • Computer skills (i.e., excel, word, outlook)
  • May require and ACTIVE driver’s license and personal vehicle.
  • The nature of our business has worksites in a number of locations in the Greater Boston area. We expect our employees to remain flexible, and travel between sites may be necessary as the business demands.
