About The Position

The Critical Facility Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and profitable operation of an assigned building project. This involves ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all required work and achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction. The role focuses on maintaining the peak efficiency of all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within data centers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience supporting mission critical environments
• High school diploma or GED
• Hands-on electrical or mechanical skill, and competence in the area of non-expertise (e.g., electrical expertise with mechanical competence, or vice-versa)
• Ability to operate and perform both routine and emergency service on a variety of state-of-the-art critical systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge and experience using basic computer applications

Nice To Haves

• Current electrical/mechanical Journeyman’s license
• Mechanical and/or electrical OEM factory specific training or experience

Responsibilities

• Ensure all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center is operating at peak efficiency
• Perform planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response to emergent issues
• Serve as an expert technical resource, interacting with Onsite Engineering Operations (OEO) and third-party vendors
• Act as a singular focal point for all facility operations within a given data center and support operated data centers
• Ensure data center equipment that supports mission-critical servers maintains better than 99.999% uptime
