Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or building systems (including trade school training)
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced technical environment
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a team-first mindset

Responsibilities

  • Facility & Infrastructure Maintenance Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on non-critical systems like HVAC, plumbing, and lighting
  • Assist senior technicians with repairs and installations on critical infrastructure
  • Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and respond to alerts using standard operating procedures
  • Operate fire suppression and safety systems under supervision
  • Vendor Coordination Work alongside trusted vendors to ensure maintenance tasks meet Equinix’s high standards
  • Support the work order process from start to finish, including briefings and final reviews
  • Site Administration & Incident Response Log maintenance activities and support documentation for permits and protocols (MOPs)
  • Assist with incident response and troubleshooting under guidance from senior staff
  • Project Support & Collaboration Help install new circuits and support auxiliary equipment
  • Collaborate with teammates on infrastructure upgrades and inventory tracking
