Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or building systems (including trade school training)
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced technical environment
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a team-first mindset
Responsibilities
- Facility & Infrastructure Maintenance Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on non-critical systems like HVAC, plumbing, and lighting
- Assist senior technicians with repairs and installations on critical infrastructure
- Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and respond to alerts using standard operating procedures
- Operate fire suppression and safety systems under supervision
- Vendor Coordination Work alongside trusted vendors to ensure maintenance tasks meet Equinix’s high standards
- Support the work order process from start to finish, including briefings and final reviews
- Site Administration & Incident Response Log maintenance activities and support documentation for permits and protocols (MOPs)
- Assist with incident response and troubleshooting under guidance from senior staff
- Project Support & Collaboration Help install new circuits and support auxiliary equipment
- Collaborate with teammates on infrastructure upgrades and inventory tracking
