As a CO+I Critical Environment Program Manager at Microsoft, you will play a vital role in managing the infrastructure and foundational technologies that support Microsoft's cloud services. This position involves overseeing the operations and maintenance of critical mechanical and electrical equipment in data centers, ensuring peak efficiency and compliance with operational standards. You will also manage small-to-medium projects, drive cost and energy efficiency initiatives, and promote a culture of safety and compliance within the data center environment.

  • Establish strong working relationships with customers.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in a datacenter.
  • Manage, plan, control, and organize planned preventative and corrective maintenance for electrical and/or mechanical equipment.
  • Utilize CMMS to monitor performance and prevent failures of electrical plant and machinery.
  • Allocate daily work to Technicians, monitor progress, and inspect completed work to ensure standards are met.
  • Ensure compliance with infrastructure operations standardization.
  • Act as an escalation point for facilities-related issues within the datacenter.
  • Assist technicians during emergencies and provide job training.
  • Manage small-to-medium projects from conception to completion.
  • Ensure routine reporting for critical infrastructure, including operational and maintenance KPIs.
  • Drive cost/energy efficiency projects and identify single points-of-failure at regional datacenter locations.
  • Coordinate, plan, schedule, and supervise CE audits and compliance verifications.
  • Provide recommendations on new data center equipment designs and technologies.
  • High School Qualification or equivalent AND 2+ years of experience in Critical Environment infrastructures and program management.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
  • Bachelor's or Technical College Degree in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field AND 8+ years experience in Critical Environment infrastructures.
  • Applicable certifications such as ASICS, CompTIA, Microsoft Network Certifications, CCNA, ITIL, Microsoft Operations Framework Certifications, Leadership Development Certifications, PMP, CDCP.
  • Experience working with building cooling, electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems.
  • Experience with Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), Branch Circuit Monitoring (BCM), and Building Automation Systems (BAS).
  • Experience working on large scale CE projects.
