About The Position

Oversee operation of concession stand, preparation of Pine Room for dances and special events, daily responsibilities of the pool and surrounding areas, daily operation of tennis courts and surrounding areas. Ensure the proper care of Haller shelter, Caddy Camp, Camp Russel, Caddy Camp, Driehorst Shelter, and cleanliness of the Pine Room area. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Direct and train staff. Secure keys to building from the lodge each morning. This should occur 20-30 minutes prior to the arrival of other employees. Open the building, and check events schedules for the day and assign particular staff members written work assignments to complete. Check storage room for daily needs, check walk-in cooler to determine if enough stock is in supply. Responsible for all stock items (ref. cleaning, special event) for the day. Supervise the pool operation. Open swim stand area and pool area (in season), and open the men’s locker room. Go under pool, check chlorine & Ph levels, as well as water level, and make appropriate adjustments as necessary. General daily janitorial duties. Count money in safe and order change, if needed. Maintain maintenance standards. Pickup supplies from Central Stores if needed. Oversee Pine Room setups for special events. Forward invoices and receipts to manager. Secure and store supplies as they arrive. Coordinate implementation of work orders for events at Camp Russell, Caddy Camp, Formal Gardens, etc. as assigned by manager. Check tennis court area, verify staff has arrived and are working, any maintenance issues that need attention, and verify the truck is clean. Verify the Pine Room and Pool area is secure for the night, call the ranger to pick up daily revenue and keys. Responsible for staff scheduled, including scheduling conflicts. Adjust schedule changes due to inclimate weather (call off staff) and replacements for staff that may call off. Operate cash register if needed. Assist with food and beverage serving to customers. Interact with the public with a cheerful and positive attitude, solve guest problems and complaints, and maintain harmonious working relationships with fellow employees.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • one to three months related experience and/or training
  • equivalent combination of education and experience
