Our evidence-based, culturally appropriate, trauma informed behavioral health services address the diverse needs of those we serve. SHIFT - Saturday & Sunday 7AM-7:30 PM. There is added shift differential of 10.98% to the base pay listed below. This is a Part-Time position which is a .6FTE. THIS IS AN ON-SITE POSITION. In this position, you will act as lead for assigned staff during the scheduled shift for designated programs areas that have been approved by the COO or Chief Clinical Officer. Act as the onsite point of contact for on-shift clinical staff who provide crisis intervention, telephone assessments, and evaluation services for youth, adults and families in a behavioral health crisis who may be at risk due to a mental health or substance use condition. Direct services may also be provided by this lead, including collaborating with individuals, family, and community partners to develop and implement "viable less restrictive alternatives to hospitalization" in situations where appropriate or assist with facilitation of inpatient treatment. Facilitate internal and external customer satisfaction and responsiveness. Monitor and facilitate communication of staff, individuals, families, referral sources we serve, interagency and treatment/client interaction. The lead position is intended to be a temporary position that is put in place when there is an ongoing, sustained supervisor vacancy on the shift.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health or related field.
  • One year of experience serving individuals with behavioral health needs.
  • Experience with crisis intervention, including risk assessments.
  • Must submit for Agency Affiliation within 30 days of hire.
  • Strong engagement and customer service skills, empathy, ability to remain calm, professional, and clear headed during escalated situations.
  • Knowledge and skills in working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
  • Knowledge of all WAC and RCW requirements as it relates to the program.
  • Ability to communicate and engage effectively with individuals of varied, backgrounds, trauma experiences, cultures, education level and socio-economic status.
  • Demonstrate evidence of critical thinking, decision-making ability and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in behavioral health or related field.
  • Two years or more of experience serving individuals with behavioral health needs.

Responsibilities

  • Train and coach staff to ensure compliance and implementation of service goals and objectives.
  • Act as an on-shift resource for employees for problem solving, case collaboration, shift coordination.
  • Routinely communicate with Program Administrator, keeping them up to date on operations, challenges and issues.
  • Engage the Program Administrator as needed for staff performance or other areas of concern or that require escalation.
  • Participate in planning and evaluation of the program.
  • Utilize monitoring tools to ensure staff’s compliance with contract and WAC requirements for external entity monitoring.
  • Provide initial and follow-up phone triage, assessment, and de-escalation services for individuals who are in an emotional or behavioral health crisis, including those referred for Involuntary Treatment Act (ITA) services.
  • Provide referral services to individuals requesting assistance or 3rd party referral sources to provide community stabilization services to the identified individual in crisis, including linkage to a Designated Crisis Responder (DCR).
  • Complete risk assessments to determine if caller is at risk for suicide and/or homicide, and who may need an immediate response, which may include referrals to Law Enforcement, DCR, and/or Active Rescue to maintain his/her safety or the safety of others.
  • In collaboration with clients and their support system, develop stabilization and safety plans.
  • Complete comprehensive documentation which supports the safety plan as indicated.
  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of community resources and ability to access resources to support and address client needs.
  • Follow up on referrals made regarding at risk/high risk persons to ensure stabilization and/or services obtained.
  • Participate in Peer Review and provide feedback to staff, supervision, in-center educational and administrative meetings as directed.
  • Maintain client records and all other required documentation in a timely and confidential manner, in accordance with agency policies and practices.
  • Obtain and maintain knowledge of WACs and RCWs related to crisis response services.
  • Other duties as assigned.
