About The Position

Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) is hiring a Clinical Manager to provide clinical and administrative leadership for our Crisis Triage Center, a 24/7 program serving community members in acute need. In this role, you will oversee multidisciplinary teams, ensure coordinated and high‑quality crisis care, and strengthen partnerships across internal programs and community systems. You will balance operational oversight with hands‑on clinical leadership to support safe, responsive, and recovery‑oriented services. Requirements

  • Master's degree in psychology, social services, or Behavioral Health.
  • Minimum 5 years’ community mental health experience.
  • Proficient in providing individual supervision to clinical staff and possess at least two (2) years of leadership experience in behavioral health.
  • This position requires driving clients in a personal vehicle on behalf of the agency. Incumbent must meet all agency driving requirements, including being at least 21 years old, having been licensed for a minimum of three years, successfully completing a motor vehicle history check, possessing and maintaining a current, valid driver’s license in the state of Washington, and having reliable, insured transportation.
  • Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration.
  • Must meet and maintain the definition of a Mental Health Professional as defined in WAC 388-877-0500.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of current trends in community mental health.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of effective leadership in healthcare
  • Must be able to effectively document using both handwriting and agency recognized computer word processing formats.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal skills.
  • Excellent Communication skills - Communicates clearly and concisely.
  • Computer skills - The ability to operate a personal computer, fax machine, printer, and copier proficiently. Familiar with EHR.
  • Ability to deescalate potentially volatile situations with clients.
  • Able to assist in building positive working relationships with staff of all agency departments.
  • Ability to develop clinical programming

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in co-occurring disorders treatment, individual and group therapy, and crisis intervention.
  • Healthcare leadership knowledge and experience in managing 24/7 multidisciplinary teams.
  • Washington License (LICSW, LMFT or LMHC), able to provide licensure supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Director of Residential & SUD Programs to ensure coordination and continuity of care across services and smooth transitions for clients.
  • Provide consistent supervision, leadership, and support to clinical and operational staff, emphasizing quality care, professional growth, and accountability.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop qualified staff; provide mentoring, supervision, and timely performance evaluations.
  • Partner with leadership and staff to establish annual program goals and ensure contract compliance; participate in Quality Program Reviews.
  • Implement and uphold KMHS administrative and clinical policies and procedures.
  • Monitor clinical documentation to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with agency and regulatory requirements.
  • Assess client and community needs and support service development to address emerging trends and gaps in care.
  • Represent KMHS in the community and serve as a liaison to social service and community partners.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory changes to ensure program compliance with applicable statutes and standards.
  • Participate in developing and implementing treatment philosophy and evidence‑based modalities appropriate to the program’s level of care.
  • Support community engagement and agency community relations activities.
  • Provide leadership in community‑based crisis services to strengthen engagement and collaborative response.
  • Foster positive staff morale by addressing concerns promptly, supporting clear communication, and providing visible leadership.
