About The Position

The Crisis Therapist plays a key role on the Behavioral Health team at MultiCare, providing crisis intervention and evaluation that meets the unique needs of consumers and their families. From performing interventions to making referrals for inpatient or outpatient care, your position will offer you the capacity to help individuals every day.

Requirements

Master's degree in a related field
A Mental Health Professional as defined within HB 1724 one of these higher credentials are held: Counselor Agency Affiliated Licensed, Marriage & Family Therap Assoc (LMFTA), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), SW Advanced Lic (LASW), SW Associate Advanced License (LSWAA), Mental Health Counselor Assoc (LMHCA), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC),SW Associate Advanced License (LSWAA), SW Advanced Lic (LASW), SW Assoc Independent Clinical Lic (LSWAIC), SW Independent Clinical Lic (LICSW)
Ability to work flexible shifts including nights
Drivers License/Abstract

Nice To Haves

Previous Crisis experience preferred

Responsibilities

Manage the mental and emotional health of each consumer as needed in coordination with the allied providers
Complete risk assessments
Develop safety plans with consumers and their natural supports as needed
Screen and refer patients with drug and/or alcohol problems
Coordinate ongoing inpatient psychiatric care for voluntary patients
Determine the need and facilitate requests to the Designated Crisis Responder when an involuntary detainment evaluation is indicated
Represent MHS and Behavioral Healthcare to community groups or individuals representing health care or mental health services
