About The Position

Overview: Shift Available: Evenings- 0.8-1.0 FTE (32 hours/week- 40 hours/week) - 3pm- 11:30pm Nights- 0.8-1.0 FTE (32 hours/week- 40 hours/week) -11pm- 7:30am 8 hour or 10 hour shifts available Starting Rate: $22.88 with potential for higher pay based on experience Differentials: Evenings $1.80, Nights $2.30, Weekends $1.80 Job Description Summary: Provides crisis intervention training for Behavioral Health frontline staff. Job Description: Essential Functions: Implements training programs and workshops, teaching pediatric behavioral health crisis intervention skills and techniques to Behavioral Health frontline staff. Evaluates the effectiveness of training programs and performance of frontline staff. Makes recommendations and necessary improvements. Responds to active crisis situations. Provides in-the-moment feedback and facilitates debrief with frontline staff. Employs de-escalation strategies and demonstrates appropriate physical restraint, escape, and evasion techniques. Ensures mandated training requirements are completed according to regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social work, education, criminal justice, or related field, or equivalent experience, required.
  • Proficient with MSOffice,time management, and organization.
  • Requires autonomous direction and ongoing support and collaboration with unit leadership.
  • Demonstrates high level of initiative, clinical decision making, and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, adept in collaboration, and ability to relate effectively with all hospital staff.
  • One year of experience in a hospital setting within the past 3 years, required.
  • Experience in de-escalation and safety training, required.
  • Pediatric behavioral health experience, required.
  • Must be able to perform therapeutic crisis intervention moves (TCI).
  • Able to wear and function in helmets and other safety equipment.
