The Crisis Specialist provides mental health counseling and support to non-hospitalized individuals (18 and older) experiencing a severe disruption in thought, mood, or behavior. The primary role of the Crisis Specialist is to help the individual with the psychological response to a specific situation and minimize long-term mental and emotional damage; triage to determine the level of crisis, assess and evaluate behavior, and make a clinically appropriate recommendation for the next steps.
