About The Position

Essential Functions To perform the Criollo Front Server position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.   Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities Serve 3 – 4 tables to include take and deliver food/beverage order   Offer suggestions and recommendations on wine and food pairings   Maintain specific side-work and ensure the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant   Clear and reset tables   Treat all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction   Strive to exceed guests’ expectations   Report to work in a neat and clean uniform; Requirements

  • Effectively interact and communicate in English with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Write simple correspondence in the English language
  • Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other associates of the hotel
  • Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Compute rate, ratio and percent
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Demonstrate the ability to utilize a computer
  • Possess knowledge of Micros
  • Must be of legal age according to State regulations to serve alcohol
  • Possess a valid Louisiana Responsible Vendor’s Permit, CARE for Servers Card or TIPS Card or
  • Ability and willingness to attend a Responsible Vendor’s class and pass the test with a score of 90% or better
  • Available to work a part-time, flexible (AM or PM) shift, Monday - Sunday including holidays
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • At least two (2) years server experience in an upscale restaurant
