Requirements

Active South Carolina Bar license in good standing (required).
Criminal defense experience: minimum 1 year of experience in criminal law.
Courtroom and negotiation skills: strong ability to litigate cases, challenge evidence, and negotiate plea bargains.
Growth-oriented and driven - possess a forward-thinking mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and career growth.
Be detail oriented.
Tech-savvy: proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research tools.

Responsibilities

Defend clients against criminal charges: handle cases involving DUIs, drug offenses, violent crimes, white-collar crimes, and more.
Develop winning defense strategies: conduct thorough legal research, gather evidence, and build strong defense cases.
Represent clients in court: attend arraignments, bail hearings, pre-trial hearings, trials, and sentencing hearings.
Negotiate with prosecutors: work toward favorable plea agreements and case dismissals when possible.
Provide client support and guidance: conduct initial consultations, explain legal rights, and offer expert legal advice.
Collaborate with legal teams: partner with paralegals, investigators, and expert witnesses to strengthen case strategies.
