We are passionate about what we do and where we’re going as a company. Position Overview: Crewleader I Wilsonart, in Phoenix, currently has an opening for a Crewleader I. The Crewleader oversees activities of warehouse employees engaged in receiving products, supplies and fulfilling customer orders. Performs complex warehousing functions to replenish the finished goods inventory with material from the manufacturing facilities. Fills customer orders, inspects material, packs material for shipments. Develop methods to increase efficiency, productivity and reduce waste and redundancy. Performs other tasks.

Requirements

Knowledge of computers is sufficient to check inventories, make stock adjustments, word processors and spreadsheets
Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the area of work and other pertinent rules/regulations governing work standards
Skill in verbal and written communication, including tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers and employees
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to maintain a clean work environment
Knowledge of company policies, procedures and practices
Skill in organizing and prioritizing
Lead warehouse crew in daily stretching, safety meetings and WIP discussion
Knowledge of materials inventoried
Knowledge of proper material handling techniques
Ability to understand and follow directions
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to drive a lift truck and operate a table saw
Ability to read and understand customer orders
Knowledge of DOT requirements and proper loading techniques for outgoing deliveries
Skill in proper handling techniques for all products, tools, and machinery
Skill in required packaging techniques for all products inventoried
High School Graduate or GED
One year of college may be substituted for one year of required experience
Maximum substitution of three years
3+ years of relevant warehouse experience

Nice To Haves

1+ years of management experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Assign duties to employees and oversees department activities
Conducts employee performance reviews
Performs monthly safety checklist
Works closely with crew to find ways of reducing shipping errors as part of a continuous improvement process
Trains personnel to meet the technical level of expertise to perform job duties and responsibilities
Assists employees in resolving problems and advises supervisors of complex problems
Conducts cycle counts and review product usage with supervisor to maintain correct level of sellable inventory
Receives all material from the manufacturing facilities and vendors
Review and order warehouse supplies to maintain sufficient level for warehouse operation
Checks and places materials in the correct bin
Checks material against the manifest and reports discrepancies
Informs supervisor and photographs all defective materials
Cuts down over-sized laminate to fill pending orders
Reads, interprets, processes, and packs orders
Create BOL’s for outgoing products
Assists the needs of the customer
