About The Position

The Warehouseman I supports all aspects the daily warehouse operations. Company Overview Since 1912, Sturgeon Electric Company, Inc. (Sturgeon Electric) – a subsidiary of MYR Group Inc. – has provided complex, large-scale electrical construction services for our clients throughout the western United States. As a full-service electrical provider, we offer industry leading electrical transmission, commercial and industrial, and renewable energy services. Sturgeon Electric has two divisions, offering both powerline construction and commercial/industrial electrical construction, making it a full-service electrical provider. Sturgeon Electric’s Commercial and Industrial (C&I) electrical construction division specializes in large-scale commercial electrical projects, telecommunications, traffic signalization, gas distribution, high voltage distribution service and maintenance to clients. We also offer design-build and pre-construction services and has in-house pre-fabrication and AutoCAD capabilities. Essential Functions Complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, fabrication and transportation of materials Load and unload materials to and from designated storage area, such as racks, shelves, or vehicles Complete and maintain inventories Maintain condition of work area (i.e. free of trash, product in correct location, etc.) Follow company safety policies and procedures Receive and fill orders Drive company vehicles to pick up and deliver material Regular and predictable attendance Essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field location Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 - 5 years of warehouse experience, electrical experience preferred
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Drivers License Preffered
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Number sense
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Positive attitude and team player
  • Self-starter
  • Attentive to details
  • Organized, punctual, reliable

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with tool/material tracking databases, Tool Watch preferred

Responsibilities

Benefits

  • Salary $20-25/ hour
  • Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
