Overview The Centerline Atlantic, Inc. Crewing Coordinator organizes all aspects of crew changes. Responsibilities Book travel arrangements for appropriate crew change dates and locations. Minimize travel expenses through planning and utilization of any/all available discounts with the Travel department. Ensure tugs and barges are properly crewed and operated as per vessel COI’s and company policy. Maintain a calendar tracking crew member’s time off (Vacation, sick leave, etc) and ensure the Company has proper crewing. Keep crew schedule updated and operations apprised of any fleet needs. Assists Dispatchers in scheduling crew changes and calling crewmembers. Serve as the primary point of contact for crew members, addressing their concerns and inquiries. Collaborate with operations, HR, and management to align crewing strategies with organizational goals. Resolve conflicts or issues related to crew assignments and logistics. Maintain up-to-date crew records in the crewing management system. Generate reports on crew movements, availability, and training status for management review. Ensure compliance with relevant maritime regulations, company policies, and flag state requirements. Verify that crew members possess required certifications, licenses, and medical clearances. Help track and manage crew certifications and ensure timely renewals. Assist with the onboarding process, ensuring all new hires receive necessary documentation, training, and certifications as needed. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Maritime industry experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of oil transportation industry preferred. Must be highly organized and detail oriented. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Work, Outlook, etc) Working knowledge of office management theories and practices. Ability to work with others using courtesy, tact, and good judgment. Maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive communications. Ability to understand and execute complex oral and written instructions. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimal or no guidance. Must be able to read, speak, write, type, and understand English in person and over telephone. Must be physically fit enough to board barges and tugs at sea and in port. Valid State driver's license. Valid TWIC or must obtain within 90 days after hire. Job Condition and Environment Required to sit for long periods of time. Infrequent light physical effort required. May be required to occasionally board tugs and barges. Work with computers, fax machines, copiers, telephones. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations. Expected Hours of Work Normal office hours are 7:00 a.m. to 19:00 p.m on five-day rotation with his/her relief. Flexibility to work outside regular hours to address urgent crewing needs.
