About The Position

Join our team and contribute to keeping our streets clean and safe. We are seeking dedicated individuals to perform general semi-skilled laboring tasks under direct supervision.

Requirements

• Ability to perform the full range of duties with general instruction and supervision
• Strong communication skills for interaction with co-workers, supervisory staff, and customers
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively
• Must possess and maintain a valid Class B Virginia Commercial Driver’s License
• Criminal background and driving record checks required

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled laboring tasks in street sanitation
• Operate various trucks and heavy equipment
• Drive and operate street sweepers, water trucks, trash trucks, dump trucks, and recycling trucks
• Operate forklifts and drive roll-offs to empty dumpsters
• Mow grass using tractors, mowers, or weed-eaters
• Sand icy or oily streets, shovel snow, rake leaves
• Clean gutters and repair barricades
• Perform routine ground maintenance tasks
• Complete work order and daily report paperwork
• Execute related tasks as required
