About The Position

The Landscape Foreman in Training is a hands-on position and is expected to work as part of the grounds management crew as well as substituting for the crew’s foreman during absences.

Responsibilities

Assist Foreman in training and instruction on all aspects of landscape grounds management services
Digging, planting, raking, watering and clean up of landscapes
Load and unload heavy equipment and planting materials from trucks
Collection of company owned equipment and tools at the end of the day
Safe operation of the following equipment: Mowers – push, walk-behind and riding
Tillers, aerators, slit seeders (On occasion wheel tractors)
Edger, string trimmers, chainsaws, hedge trimmers
Backpack sprayers and blowers
Hand tools such as shovels, picks, rakes and pruning tools
Plan, coordinate, and collect equipment and materials each day
Perform and/or participate in crew and department general and safety meetings
Prepare timesheets and other daily paperwork as required by the company
Drive a company owned vehicles trucks (with or without trailers) and transporting crew members on routes
Maintain on site relations and communications with clients, contractors and/or subcontractors
Monitor and maintain irrigation controller (changing times, replacing heads, etc.)
May be asked to help in other divisions such as maintenance or floriculture as needed
