About The Position

The Credit Union Insurance Agent position at VW Insurance involves developing and maintaining relationships with clients to enhance their insurance portfolio. The role requires consultative sales techniques and a strong understanding of various insurance products, including life, home, auto, flood, and umbrella insurance. The agent will work in-office at various EECU Branch Offices in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, focusing on client needs and cross-selling opportunities to grow the business.

Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in Personal Lines Sales role with proven success in turning prospects into customers.
  • Active Property and Casualty Insurance License (or General Lines) or willingness to obtain it.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must maintain Continuing Education.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 to 3 years of Personal Lines Sales experience and proven ability to find, build, and grow leads and customer base.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or similar field.
  • Active Life and Health Insurance License.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and develop personal insurance opportunities with new and existing clients in person, online, by phone, and through written communication.
  • Foster and maintain excellent relationships with clients and prospects through regular follow-up, accurate and timely quotations, and general account support.
  • Anticipate, respond to, and follow up on all existing client needs.
  • Actively prospect round accounts and solicit increases in existing client coverages and network for new clients, including win-backs.
  • Maintain proficiency in all personal lines of insurance, including home, auto, life, flood, and umbrella.
  • Work directly with prospects, which may include referrals from loan officers, builders, and realtors to convert prospects into sales.
  • Conduct needs-based customer policy reviews and update coverage.
  • Educate clients on coverages and rates.
  • Prepare and process inquiries, quotes, proposals, applications, endorsements, payments, and outbound email/phone marketing campaigns.
  • Research and resolve complex customer service issues and recommend coverage.
  • Generate cross-sales, close inbound leads, and request referrals to increase client base.
  • Make outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing clients by telephone and email to qualify leads and sell products and services.
  • Enter client and sales data into the databases.
  • Monitor, review, and report on key metrics to ensure sales targets are achieved and execute sales activity documentation promptly, accurately, and professionally.
