About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Credit Supervisor to supervise employees performing credit approvals and collection efforts. This position serves as a vital link between the credit department, stores, sales representatives, customers, and the Regional Credit Manager. Requirements

  • Associates Degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years' experience in the credit and collections field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Construction background is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise employees performing credit evaluations and approvals.
  • Oversee collections and record keeping of account status.
  • Address customer service issues and problem solving.
  • Report on account status.
  • Conduct account reconciliations.
  • Act as a liaison between the Regional Credit Manager and staff, as well as store and collectors.
  • Assist the Credit Manager in reducing and maintaining DSO to meet company and departmental goals.
  • Help minimize percentages of past due receivables.
  • Supervise the department in minimizing potential bad debt.
  • Review regions' delinquent accounts for 3rd party placements with outside collection agencies.
  • Review department credit memo requests based on company policy.
  • Prepare required spreadsheets for trend reports and monthly conference calls with the field.
  • Assist the Credit Manager with all other duties as assigned and special projects.
