Job Description Summary Credit Supervisor Are you seeking an entrepreneurial, empowering workplace that allows you to: • Develop a career track • Leverage your current skills while developing new skills • Work with an incredible team of people Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking a Credit Supervisor. As a Credit Supervisor, you will supervise employees performing credit approvals and collection efforts. This position provides an important link between the credit department, stores, sales representatives, the customer and the Regional Credit Manager.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree preferred.
  • Prefer at least 5 years’ experience in the credit and collections field.
  • Prefer at least 1 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multi-task.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and use time management skills.
  • Must be able to work under pressure.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Construction background a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the direct supervision of employees who perform credit evaluations and approvals.
  • Collections and record keeping of account status.
  • Customer Service issues and problem solving.
  • Account status reporting.
  • Account reconciliations.
  • Act as a liaison between Regional Credit Manager and staff as well as store and collectors to solve customer service issues.
  • Assist the Credit Manager in reducing and maintaining DSO to meet company and departmental goals.
  • Assist the Credit Manager in minimizing percentages of past due receivables.
  • Supervises department in minimizing potential bad debt.
  • Reviews regions delinquent accounts for 3rd party placements with outside collection agencies, prior to submitting to Regional Credit Manager.
  • Reviews department credit memo requests based on company policy, then forwards to Regional Credit Manager for approval.
  • Prepares required spreadsheets for trend reports and for monthly conference calls with the field.
  • Assist the Credit Manager in all other duties as assigned and with all special projects that occur.
