About The Position

Join a leading distributor of construction, fastening, industrial, and packaging supplies as a Credit Specialist. This role requires coordinating invoice collections, resolving customer account issues, and ensuring accounts remain within agreed credit terms. You will have the opportunity to work independently while collaborating with branch managers and sales teams to align on collection strategies.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience in credit, collections, or accounts receivable.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Highly organized with the ability to multitask and work independently.

Nice To Haves

5 years of experience preferred.
Construction or industrial supply industry preferred.
Knowledge of lean software is a plus.

Responsibilities

Coordinate invoice collections and resolve customer account issues.
Ensure accounts remain within agreed credit terms.
Analyze delinquent accounts and initiate collection efforts based on due date and balance.
Improve receivable turnover through proactive follow-up and communication.
Collaborate with branch managers and sales teams to align on collection strategies.
Maintain strong, positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
Escalate financial concerns or risks to management as needed.
Handle cash applications and manage business-to-business collections.
