As the Manager of Revenue cycle - Collections, you are responsible for the operational management of the multiple processes within Patient Financial Services, Diabetes. This position will support the Sr Manager / Director at conducting end-to-end business analysis and review of production, revenue, and cash to enhance strategies and deliver revenue targets. Responsibilities: The role involves leading, interacting and collaborating with the onshore and offshore supervisors along with their teams who provides eligibility and insurance verification support to product sales teams by working assigned tasks within service level agreements. He / she should be well versed with utilizing the system, and/or contact the patient to obtain basic policy, plan and group numbers for all insurance carriers on the patient’s account to confirm eligibility and interact with insurance carriers/patients/websites to conduct comprehensive insurance benefit verifications for all insurance carriers with confirmed eligibility on the patient’s account. The individual will develop and execute strategic work plans and directives, driving initiatives across onshore and offshore teams to increase productivity, efficiency, revenue, and cash flow while reducing PFS operational costs. Manage assigned processes, lead weekly / monthly process reviews with sr. leadership. Additionally, the position entails leading quarterly and annual business planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation. This position will be based either in our office in San Antonio, TX or Northridge, CA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years prior relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Business or Accounting major is preferred
  • 15+ years’ experience in healthcare insurance collections, accounts receivable management, billing and claims processing, and insurance payor contracts.
  • 10+ years of experience leading large US Healthcare accounts receivable portfolio
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with internal and external customers written and verbally.
  • Advanced knowledge of insurance contracting, payor regulations, insurance benefits, coordination of benefits, managed care, and healthcare compliance, rules, and regulations.
  • Advanced experience with reading, and understanding medical policy information, and utilizing insurance benefit and coverage information to recovery denied claims.
  • Advanced experience with various insurance plans offered by both government and commercial insurances.
  • Experience with medical billing and collections terminology – CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 and NDC coding, HIPAA guidelines and healthcare compliance.
  • Good operating knowledge of Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point, and Teams.
  • Ability to use Excel to generate reports, use of pivot tables and other features to analyze and present data.
