About The Position

Verbatim Americas, a Charlotte-based distribution company, seeks an experienced CREDIT MANAGER to oversee all credit, collections, and accounts receivable functions. This role is responsible for managing retail trade accounts, distributor credit exposure, and cross-border credit risk including U.S., Canada, Mexico and Latin America customers. The ideal candidate has experience managing large retail receivables, understanding chargebacks/deductions, and working within ERP systems, preferably SAP. This position is full-time, in-office and located in Charlotte, NC. Company Overview Verbatim is a company size of $50M annual sales that serves major national retailers including Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy, as well as leading technology and office product distributors such as SP Richards, Ingram Micro, and TD SYNNEX. We distribute consumer electronics accessories including optical media, USB flash drives, and related storage products across the U.S., Latin America, and Canada. Requirements

7-12+ years credit/AR management experience
Experience managing large retail accounts (big-box/national chains)
Experience with export documentation and international credit practices preferred
ERP and Reporting
Distribution on consumer electronics background preferred
Strong deduction management experience
ERP experience (SAP preferred)
Experience with $25M-$150M revenue companies

Mexico/LAR credit exposure
Credit insurance management
Bilingual Spanish a plus
CCE (Certified Credit Executive) or similar certifications

Responsibilities

Credit and Risk Management Work closely with sales leadership on credit approvals and monitor exposure by customer and region
Retail Account Management Work with senior leadership, establish and maintain credit limits for major retail and distributor accounts. Evaluate financial statements and trade references Manage customer credit insurance (if applicable) Work with export documentation and international credit practices Understand currency risk exposure (USD vs. CAN/MXN a plus)
Accounts Receivable Management Own AR reporting, aging schedules, and exposure dashboards Establish KPI metrics (DSO, CEI, aging targets) Manage complex deduction environments (Amazon/Walmart chargebacks, shortages, returns) Oversee dispute resolution with retail compliance teams Manage AR/collections staff (if applicable) Improve process controls and documentation
