About The Position

Credit Internship Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Credit and Collections and the Sr. Credit Analyst, the Credit Intern will assist in performing financial analysis and credit underwriting for the Company. Position requires independent judgment and discretion in credit analysis process. Location: This internship will be fully on-site and take place at our corporate office in Louisville, KY. About the Summer 2026 Internship Program: This program is designed to provide interns with meaningful projects, professional development opportunities, and fun team-building activities with your other fellow interns. Program Dates: Our structured program takes place June 1- July 31 , with planned activities during this period. However, interns may have the option to stay in their internship beyond these dates, for up to 90 days total. Start date of June 1 is highly recommended . Responsibilities

  • Utilize Internet, Computer App and Excel to assist in risk management for Steel Tech using such factors as: Ratio Analysis, profitability, margin and EBITDA trends Cash flow analysis Working capital, liquidity and capital structure review Z-Score review Bond Rating, stock price and market capitalization trends Use SEC 10-K, 10-Q, financial statements for STTX Financial Questionnaire Pull Credit Bureau reports from various databases
  • Assist in use of models for analysis of customers
  • Review and synthesize existing reporting for credit limit needs
  • Update Excel files with additional information
  • Review credit files to determine need for updated financial information
  • Assist in contacting customers to request financial information
  • Assist Credit Specialists in the invoice correction process and generating invoice copies and other tasks as needed
  • Special projects and other departmental tasks as necessary
