About The Position

The Credit & Collections Specialist will be responsible for collection activities related to past due health insurance premiums and/or past due health insurance claims. This role is part of Paragon Healthcare, a proud member of the Elevance Health family of companies, which has over 20 years of experience in providing infusible and injectable drug therapies through specialty pharmacies, infusion centers, and home settings. The position requires associates to be in-office 2 days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday) to foster collaboration and connectivity, while also providing flexibility for virtual work. This approach aims to combine structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Candidates must be within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s) to be considered.

Requirements

• Requires a H.S. diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year of prior commercial debt collection experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Responsibilities

• Follows established guidelines, contacts group for the purpose of collecting past due insurance premiums and/or past due health insurance claims.
• Researches validity of past due and/or disputed debt.
• Generates demand letters.
• Prepares reports reflecting status of credit and collection activities for management review.
