About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the streamlined operation, oversight and support of the Bank’s credit card program and operating system. The Credit Card System and Program Administrator will oversee multiple aspects of the credit card function. This position will be the main point of contact for all outside vendors as well as all internal departments in regards to the credit card process. This position will be responsible for establishing and maintaining processes and procedures that will be needed in order to ensure that the Bank’s credit card operation is effective, sound and compliant.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
  • Five years of financial services experience preferred.
  • Capable user of Southern Bank computer systems and technology, including word processing, spreadsheets, internet and internal software.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary System Administrator for the credit card platform with responsibilities including the set-up, maintenance and daily platform operation.
  • Oversee communication with outside vendors in regards to ongoing management and continual refinement of the credit card platform and program.
  • Responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of the card program policies and procedures to ensure maximum operating efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure card program compliance with internal policies and all applicable banking regulations (e.g. RegZ, RegE, RegB, UDAAP).
  • Responsible for the ongoing monitoring of the credit card portfolio, including but not limited to performance and growth trends, revenue tracking, card utilization, fraud and dispute trends, delinquency trends, chargeoffs, etc.
  • Responsible for processing all fraud related disputes in a compliant manner.
  • Responsible for coordinating with Credit Administration, Credit Operations, Deposit Operations and Digital related to all card origination delivery channels.
  • Coordinate with Credit Operations on all credit card booking and certain card maintenance activity.
  • Coordinate with and support the Digital and Treasury Departments efforts with customer digital access and self-service capabilities.
  • Coordinate with Customer Care Center, Information Technology and Information Security to ensure telephony and card operating system structures promote efficient and secure information access for internal associates and external customers.
  • Ensure system to GL balancing is maintained and provide ongoing support to Corporate Finance in settlement balancing, information gathering necessary to support the Loan Loss Reserve calculation and data extracts to support the bank’s data reporting warehouse.
  • Responsible for overseeing the issuing of new cards.
  • Ensure customer statements and card holders are being generated and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Work with outside vendor to establish and maintain a rewards program; promote and support reward program internally.
  • Oversight of vendor lockbox service to ensure payments are being applied timely. Work all rejects to ensure proper allocation of customer payments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
