About The Position

Summary: The Credit Card Processing Manager coordinates and maintains all areas of Credit Card Processing. To enforce policy and procedures regarding credit card transactions of Rosen Hotels & Resorts. Responsibilities: Responsible for every day functions in the credit card processing department. Problem solving with Revenue Auditors, credit card processors and specific departments concerning issues that have occurred during daily work shifts. Responsible for resolving credit card transmission issues, credit card issues with appropriate department or person. Responsible for all training of credit card processing staff - also developing and implementing all credit card processing department procedures and interacting with at the hotel level staff charged with handling credit card transactions, providing training and retraining as necessary. Interview potential staff; disciplinary actions and counseling of employees when needed or required; maintain associate payroll and time off/vacation requests. Direct support of credit card processors by assisting, reviewing and answering questions when necessary. Continuous monitoring of customer service by credit card processing department ensuring effective resolution. Supervisory decision making, in regards to issues that require such actions. Maintain open and direct communication lines with all operating departments of the hotels - as well as Credit Card Processing team and Finance management. On-site visits as necessary to maintain these relationships. Post or supervise the posting of daily bank deposits for credit cards - manage the reconciliation credit card General Ledger accounts. Responsible for accuracy and integrity of all documents pertaining to Finance Department i.e. reconciliations, credit refunds, adjustments, posting deposits, etc. Monitors internal controls to mitigate/prevent fraud. Identifies and escalates credit card fraud to appropriate authorities and stakeholders to stop future occurrences by recommending no-rent status and to assist in prosecuting fraud to the fullest extent of the law when warranted. Analytical skills and initiatives are essential in order to ensure accuracy of credit card processing department - understand of night audit procedures as related to credit card transactions - strong working knowledge of all hotel departments that process credit card transactions. Promptly identify and escalate system problems to the IT Departments and follow-up for timely resolution. Process change orders as submitted by property level operations managers. Supervises up to 4 non-supervisory employee(s). Departments supervised by this position include Credit Card Processing. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Comply with the company's drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policy. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years of related finance experience experience required.
  • Minimum 2 years of previous leadership experience required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex financial/technical issues in simple terms to non-finance staff.
  • Ability to lift- up to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently.
  • Must be able to legally work in the USA.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in Finance or related field preferred.
