About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Credit Analyst to support our lending team by providing in-depth financial analysis of new and existing credit relationships. The ideal candidate will be proficient in analyzing financial statements and tax returns across a variety of business types to determine cash flow, assess debt service coverage (DSCR), and support sound credit decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
• Solid understanding of financial statement and tax return analysis (1040, 1065, 1120S, etc.) and cash flow methodologies.
• High attention to detail and accuracy, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to communicate findings effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with loan spreading software and/or web-based applications preferred (Abrigo/Sageworks, Hawthorne, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements and tax returns in connection with requests from loan officers and prepare financial analysis assessments via a credit memo.
• Review personal and business tax returns, financial statements, and other supporting documents to assess global, borrower, and guarantor cash flow and asses the overall financial strength of the borrower and guarantors.
• Determine and interpret DSCR, trends, and repayment capacity across multiple industries and entity types (e.g., Partnerships, S-corps, sole proprietorships).
• Prepare clear, concise written analysis in connection with financial spreads.
• Complete annual loan reviews for existing relationships.
• Collaborate with management on documentation exceptions reviews.
